Betrayal is a four part British spy thriller.. The drama follows John Hughes (Shaun Evans), an MI5operative who goes rogue to uncover a high-stakes conspiracy after a secret meeting with an informant ends in a fatal shooting.
The thriller, written by David Eldridge and produced by Mammoth Screen, explores the tension between John's perilous professional life and his crumbling marriage to his GP wife, Claire (Romola Garai). As he pursues the truth, he faces internal suspicion at work and is unexpectedly partnered with Mehreen Askari-Evans (Zahra Ahmadi), an intelligence officer initially tasked with replacing him.
